From the maker

Why I built
SwipeLess.

I noticed how addictive social media could be and the negative effects it was having on people around me. I recognised the same pattern in myself.

I would pick up my phone to relax and scroll for a moment. But instead of feeling rested, I often ended up overstimulated and even more tired, without realising it while I was scrolling.

I like helping people and sharing my ideas with the world. That’s why I’m building SwipeLess: to make it easier to set boundaries around distracting feeds, keep the useful parts of your apps and make room for things you actually want to do.

Coming soon on Google Play for Android.

Keep what helps.

A boundary around the feed
Block a supported feed, such as Instagram Reels, while keeping useful parts of the app available.
Limits you choose
Set daily minutes or short turns. Use Work sessions with optional breaks or recurring schedules to put selected apps away.
Something else to do
Explore facts, quotes, offline activities or a short brain exercise when you want a change.

About the guides.

The guides and articles on Learn are published by SwipeLess. App guides use the app’s settings and interface previews. The compatibility guide identifies dated check records bundled with the Android build, including the device, app versions and known limits. Those records are not fresh tests of every phone or current app version. Research articles link to the original studies and explain what they measured.

AI assists with drafting this website’s text. The checks use the app material and linked sources. Published and updated dates show when each article was added or changed; a research review date records when its sources were checked.
