Use this page to choose a boundary and check its limits. Blocking requires the installed app and Android Accessibility access. The website preview lets you explore settings; it does not protect your phone.
Coming to Google Play for Android. See availability.
Choose the part you want to close
Current feed choices include Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reels, Snapchat Spotlight and Discover, and X For You. Other screens can remain available where supported. Instagram Explore is not a separate supported feed block.
New TikTok and Threads settings use whole-app blocking or a whole-app allowance. Older partial rules can remain until you change them. The TikTok For You and Threads Home checks below describe those older rules.
Snapchat Discover covers recognised public creator and publisher stories in the full-screen Discover viewer. Private stories and the camera stay available under this rule. Spotlight has its own setting.
You can also select other installed apps for whole-app blocking and add websites in Blocks. Whole-app protection closes the selected app, including messages. Read the comparison of feed and app blocking before choosing.
Recorded checks: September 2026
The check records included with the 11 October 2026 Android build list the versions below. Every listed check used a motorola edge 70 pro running Android 16. These are existing records, not new tests performed when this page was published.
| App and target checked | App version | Recorded date |
|---|---|---|
| Instagram · Reels | 448.0.0.52.84 | |
| YouTube · Shorts | 21.38.130 | |
| TikTok · For You, historical rule | 47.0.3 | |
| Facebook · Reels | 580.0.0.51.74 | |
| Snapchat · Spotlight | 14.25.0.43 | |
| X · For You | 12.29.1-prod.01 | |
| Threads · Home feed | 448.0.0.54.85 |
The records describe opening feeds by different routes and checking neighbouring screens that should stay open. For example, the Instagram entry lists Reels through its tab, Explore and a profile grid, alongside checks that Home, search, the profile and Explore grid stayed available. Read the extracted check records (JSON), including the source build’s file hash.
Later checks: October 2026
- Snapchat Discover · 14.28.0.54 · 18 October: On Android 16, the corrected rule held across 20 publisher-viewer reopenings and after 15 seconds and three swipes. The check also covered neighbouring screens and separate Spotlight and Discover choices.
- Threads Home · 453.0.0.56.79 · 27 October: On a motorola edge 70 pro with Android 16, the tested rule blocked Home from a cold start, after reopening, and through the Threads home link. Following, the messages list, the profile and Activity stayed available.
The October TikTok check on 47.4.3 did not reach a confirmed For You screen. There is no new positive For You result for that version or the reported 47.5.3.
Important limits in the September records
- Threads: the notes report one missed block during an initial 30 openings. It did not recur in the next 20, and its cause was not established.
- X: its feed rule relies on tab labels. The included labels cover English, Dutch, German, French and Spanish; other interface languages may not be recognised.
- Instagram: a Reel sent in a message opens differently. That route was not rechecked on the listed Instagram 448 version, so the record does not establish protection for it.
App updates, account experiments, screen layouts and entry routes can change detection. One recorded phone cannot establish compatibility with every Android device. No results for other phone models are asserted here.
Websites and browsers
SwipeLess lists Chrome, Samsung Internet, Firefox, Edge, Opera and DuckDuckGo as tested browsers; Brave is unverified. That browser list does not supply a version-by-version test record like the feed table above.
Website rules compare the visible address bar with selected targets on your phone. A focused address field while you type is not used. Browser updates, in-app browsers and installed web apps may behave differently. Selected social-app rules also cover their recognised web versions; this does not imply identical feed precision in every browser. See the website guide and privacy policy.
Check your own setup
Save one clear boundary
Choose the feed or whole app and review its allowance. Confirm the blocking service is running.
Try the route you actually use
Open the selected feed from its tab, then from any link or shortcut you normally use. Check a useful neighbouring screen too.
Repeat after an update
Check again when your social app changes. If something differs, note the versions, phone, language and exact route before sending feedback.
The existing Android recording in Help shows one blocking example from an earlier app interface. It explains the interaction; it is not evidence that all versions in this table work today. For a missed block or unexpected closed screen, follow the troubleshooting checklist.
